By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the ChewSum mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Medical Disclaimer — Not Medical Advice
ChewSum is not a medical device, nor does it provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
All content, caloric recommendations, macronutrient breakdowns, and metabolic expenditure estimates provided by the App are for general informational and educational purposes only. Always consult a qualified physician, registered dietitian, or certified healthcare provider before starting any new diet, fitness program, or nutritional regimen.
3. Use of AI Services and BYOK Model
ChewSum allows you to connect third-party artificial intelligence services (such as OpenRouter) using your own API credentials ("Bring Your Own Key"). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and for any usage costs incurred with your AI provider. AI-generated meal estimates and answers may occasionally contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed before logging.
4. User Accounts and Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all data you log in ChewSum. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the application.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChewSum and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of the App.
